Schools in Reading

Reading has 40 schools for primary-aged children, and nine secondary schools, made up of Maintained, Voluntary Aided, Academies and Free Schools.

There are 36 primary schools for ages 4-11 years old (providing infants and junior schools), two infant schools (4-7 years old) and two junior schools (7-11 years old).

Secondary schools cater for 11-16 year olds, and 16-18 year olds where there is a sixth form.
