We are Brighter Futures for Children
Brighter Futures for Children was set up in December 2018 by Reading Borough Council. It was started as a not-for-profit company to look after children’s social care, early help & prevention, and education services (including SEND) for the council.
In January 2025, a decision was made for these services to return to the council. All staff and services moved back on 1 October 2025.
Our goal has always been to make sure every child and young person can have a happy, healthy, and successful life. We believe we can do this best when our staff, children, and young people work together and share their ideas.
