Our safeguarding teams are made up of social workers who will work with you if difficulties cannot be resolved in a shorter period of time. We aim to support all families to create the changes they need and sustain those changes to ensure the safety of their children.

The team is part of our Together for Families Service.

A multi-agency team of workers from different services will also be involved when it is decided a Child In Need plan or a Child Protection Plan is required. If change isn’t created as swiftly as necessary, the safeguarding teams are able to access legal advice, and in some circumstances, will seek the guidance of a court to decide the next course of action.
