Reading is the place to be
Reading is a really vibrant and fast-growing town, with great urban, multi-cultural appeal and plenty to do and see.
From our modern, comfortable offices, you’ll be able to walk to the Oracle shopping centre in minutes, stroll down to one of the many green spaces to enjoy your lunch, or stay after work to meet with friends at any of the Riverside cafes and restaurants next to the River Kennet.
There is a good mix of chain and independent retailers in the area. Plus, there’s an outdoor market and a separate world street food market.
Reading has excellent transport links enabling you to get around easily. We’re just 23 minutes from London by train; 22 minutes from Oxford; 23 minutes from Swindon; 16 minutes from Basingstoke and 55 minutes from Bath. It’s also quick and easy to get to Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
It’s not just us who think it’s a great place to live and work! Reading was named as one of the best towns in the Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live 2023’ under the Southeast England category, alongside Oxford, Guildford and Seven Dials in Brighton & Hove. Read more here.
Reading has a strong arts community. From the comedy and music performances at the South Street Arts Centre to spectacular shows at The Hexagon, plus outdoor events at the beautiful Forbury Gardens. You can find out everything that’s going on through the Visit Reading and What’s On in Reading websites.
The fantastic new Rivermead Leisure Centre opened recently and Palmer Park Leisure Centre & Stadium was upgraded with a new swimming pool in late 2022. Add to this the Reading Rep Theatre, the independent cinema run by Reading Film Theatre at the Reading Biscuit Factory, Reading Festival and Reading Pride and you’ll see why we all love working and/or living here.
